Greetings from The Last Frontier, the State of Alaska. Hello my name is Steve Sturman and I am blessed to live in Alaska where I am a Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church of Port Nikiski. A few years ago, while I was a Youth Pastor in Pittsburgh, I had an idea to put on a salmon feed to raise money for my youth to go to camp. It worked great! We raised over $1600, after cost of the fish and shipping, with one 50 Ib box of salmon. We cut the salmon in 8 oz steaks, and the ladies of the church brought the side dishes. We were able to sell plates for $20 a piece, and had the Youth serve and entertain our guests. It was a great success and lots of fun! |

Growing up as a commercial fisherman in a fishing family, I came up with the idea to provide salmon to churches for fund raisers. So I brain stormed with my dad Fred, and we started Fred's Alaska Seafood LLC, with the idea of catering to churches. Our salmon is Wild Alaska Sockeye Salmon harvested out of the Cook Inlet on the Kenai Peninsula. Our salmon is pure and untouched, just the way God intended it to be. Pricing is equated for Wild Alaska Sockeye Salmon, the highest quality salmon available. |
